The engineer will be in charge of developing complex software systems that connect with a wide range of external systems. The company provides a shopping experience centered on discovery, similar to how customers have traditionally made purchases in physical stores. The company has managed to successfully raise more than $1.5 bn in funding so far.Job Responsibilities:
- Lead the project’s needs through the V1 launch and V2 iterations
- Create complicated software systems that integrate with a variety of external systems
- Optimize for immediate execution while planning for long-term technological capability
- Integrate and maintain APIs with a variety of external services
- Construct highly available distributed systems
- Junior software engineers should be mentored/guided
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer
- Knowledge of Python and Go
- Familiarity with React, Typescript, and GraphQL
- Experience in MongoDB
- Knowledge of Hadoop and Hive
- Expertise in Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- Self-motivated, persistently focused on effect, and capable of operating with a high degree of independence
- Ability to self-drive and explain requirements and scope, as well as ownership of the end-to-end delivery process
- You enjoy rapidly developing features and iterating in a data-driven manner
- Proficiency in English
